Let's Go Fishing
This is a view of part of the Nisqually Valley Fly Fishery. There is 1200 feet of shore on each side of the creek/pond. The fishery varies from 40-50 ft wide and 8-15 ft deep. The water source is from artesian springs from the Nisqually Bluff as well as underground springs.
This angler is fishing from one of three floating docks. Each dock measures 4 ft by 8 ft with a wooden ramp attaching it to the shore.
View From The Hill
The creek/pond is stocked with approximately 300 steelhead rainbow trout ranging in size from 1 to 10 pounds. Reports are that they are very good fighters.
Fishing From A Dock
Anglers are continuing to have a great time fishing the different areas of the creek/pond. The trout have really started hitting various flys. The water has cooled and the few weeds that were present have disappeared. Also, the trout have put on a lot of weight and girth over the summer, many weighing 4-8 lbs.
