One of about 300 steelhead rainbow trout stocked in the creek/pond.
Hi all, John, Ron and Carl,
Just a note to say how much I enjoyed my afternoon on your creek. I got there about 12:15 and walked down to the creek to check it out and in the shallow end where the cold water flows in were several very largefish. I went back to the car to rig up and had a hard time concentrating, just thinking about the number and size of the fish I had seen. With my first cast I hooked a 3 pound fish and it ran down stream, taking me into my backing. I fished from 1PM until my right arm could not pull another fish to the dock, which was about 7PM. I used only dry flies and had 50+ fish take my offering. The smallest fish I weighted was 2lbs. and I had five over 5 lbs. Because the fish are so strong, I would reccommend a 6-7 weight rod and minimum tippet of 3x. I will be back up in the Seattle area in November and will certainly set aside a day to visit your amazing fishery. Thanks,
Mike, Sacramento, CA
